FOILING SET UP

Whether visitors are beginners or advanced riders, they can develop their skills at the island’s various high-quality spots. Chicken Bay is perfect for beginners, offering flat, turquoise waters that provide a safe learning environment. Gun Bay caters to advanced riders with specialized courses and features the Anemos restaurant, an ideal spot for lunch or dinner after a day on the water. For those who seek stronger winds, they can start at Gun Bay and ride the powerful gusts at Devil’s Bay. The center also ensures safety on the water with a dedicated safety boat.

WHEN IS BEST TO GO?

The Greek season runs from May until mid-October. May offers moderate winds, making it ideal for beginners and foilers. During this time, visitors can enjoy the tranquility of empty bays and explore the island’s mountains. June brings stronger winds and long daylight hours, perfect for extended wingfoiling sessions and soaking up the sun. July and August guarantee the strongest winds and a vibrant, energetic atmosphere at the center, marking the peak season for thrill-seekers, with winds reaching 35-40 knots in the afternoon. September continues to provide good winds and warm water, offering excellent conditions for wingfoiling while also allowing for island exploration. October brings gentle winds, perfect for foiling, along with a more relaxed island vibe, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway.

Getting There

Head to Karpathos Airport and the center is just next to it. You can opt for a shuttle from the airport, but it’s not obligatory (15€).

Gear Options

Between July and August bring wings between 2.5m and 4m. Outside of that, bring something between 3m and 5m. An 82cm mast is recommended.
