The Eleveight WFS V4 is conceived as an accessible freeride wing suited to all levels and conditions, capable of jumping, riding in the waves, or just cruising around. The WFS, in fact, delivers versatile performance over a broad range of conditions. The most evident characteristic of the WFS is the CS Wing Bar, a full length boom which allows for natural handling and intuitive positioning for stability that limits fatigue. The bar is held securely in a webbed structure and uses Velcro to lock in place. And while the bar option can sound intimidating to some people due to packing concerns, I must say that rolling and packing the wing is very easy due to its well proportioned tailored rectangular bag.
Certainly the bar versus soft (or hard) handles setup is a very personal configuration, but I can definitely see the point in having a full length bar in a wing like this, oriented to freeride. Such a design can drastically improve handling and maneuvering when learning how to wingfoil and improve control for experienced riders. Crafted from durable and lightweight materials, the V4 strikes an excellent balance between strength and maneuverability. Here the extensive experience of Eleveight in building high-quality kites really becomes evident. The wing construction is strong but not heavy. In fact, the V4’s thoughtful design allowed for reducing weight without sacrificing durability and robustness.
On the water, one of the key characteristics of this wing is the stiffness of the frame. This combined with its highly intuitive handle allows for effortless maneuvering, making it suitable for riders of various skill levels, while maintaining great durability. The V4 sports a new canopy configuration with increased stiffness and optimized airflow for less drag and improved pumping. Thanks to its carefully balanced canopy tension, in fact, the Eleveight WFS generates ample power while pumping. Once getting to cruise speed, however, the V4 drives with minimal effort, ensuring an exhilarating and efficient ride. It allows riders to catch the wind with minimal input and achieve impressive speeds, enabling you to glide through the air effortlessly.
Stability is a crucial factor in any wingfoiling wing, and the Eleveight WFS excels in this aspect. Its canopy design reduces unwanted oscillations and ensures a stable flight even in gusty or challenging wind conditions. Its newly designed leading edge shape has significantly increased the low-end ability and wind range, and its user-friendly character makes it accessible to beginners while still providing a highly tuned in experience for advanced riders.
Overall, the WFS V4 is an impressive wing that enhances the thrill of pure freeride wingfoiling. Its sleek design, excellent maneuverability, impressive power, stability, and durability make it a solid choice for both beginners and experienced riders.
